Smoked Pepperoni Pizza Pretzels

Add any favorite pizza toppings from the optional list and pair with pizza sauce for dipping. Let the pretzels cool slightly before serving, then store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat on the smoker or oven to maintain crispness.

Ingredients

  • 6 frozen soft pretzels
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • garlic powder, Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
  • Optional toppings: bacon crumbles, olives, jalapenos, pineapple, etc. and pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Set the smoker or pellet grill to 250 degrees. Place the frozen soft pretzels on the grill or smoker grate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Transfer the pretzels to a baking sheet or tray. Mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning and brush over the pretzels. Sprinkle the salt that came with the pretzels over top as well.
  3. Top each pretzel with the shredded cheese and pepperoni, and any other toppings of choice. Sprinkle more garlic powder and Italian seasoning over top.
  4. Place the baking sheet or tray on the smoker or pellet grill (still set to 250 degrees) for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  5. Let cool slightly and serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
